"Redfire" February 2001. 390 x 298 mm, Mixed Media on Rough Masonite

This work was done using acrylic colours on top of a red enamel base. The background is really a rough masonite surface, sprayed with darker enamels. Just before it dried, I scratched across the surface to allow the bright red to 'burn' through.
